Location 

The trailer recognition control unit is located in the right of the luggage compartment behind the wheelhouse paneling.

• Actuation and monitoring of trailer illumination
• Monitoring of ball neck lock
• Consumer shutoff of circuit 30 at the trailer hitch socket (13-pin) (X58)
• Trailing monitoring (on vehicles with code (551) Anti-theft alarm system (ATA [EDW]))
