Step 12

	Removing
	Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts		AH00.00-N-0001-01A
	While working on the rear axle care must be taken to ensure that the surface of all aluminum components do not get any scratches, cracks and notches. Otherwise the service life of the parts will be affected
	Always replace rear rubber mounts (1) in pairs
	The following tools are required from the extraction and insertion tools: thrust piece (01) 221 589 00 43 01, thrust piece (03) 221 589 00 43 03, support (02) 221 589 00 43 02, support (04) 221 589 00 43 04, spindle (05) 221 589 00 43 05 and sleeve (011) 221 589 00 43 11		Figure

2	Remove rear wheels
	Remove/install wheels		AP40.10-P-4050SX
3	Remove exhaust system from flange connection back	Engine 156, 272, 273, 275	AR49.10-P-7100SX

4	Detach propeller shaft from differential (50)		AR41.10-P-0050-03SX
5	Prop up rear axle carrier (4) on rear axle center assembly (50) using transmission jack and transmission platform	Transmission plate for passenger cars and commercial vehicles   Transmission jack 2.0-7.0 t
6	Mark the installation position of the respective rubber mount (1) at cutout (arrow)
7	Remove bolts (1s) of rubber mounts (1)
8	Lower the rear axle carrier (4)
9	Attach thrust piece (01), support (02), spindle (05) and sleeve (011) with hollow cylinder (015) and retaining belt (012) to rubber mount (1) of rear axle carrier (4)	The retaining belt must be routed behind the thrust piece in order to prevent the hollow cylinder falling down when the rubber mount is pressed out.

11	Press rubber bushing (1) out of rear axle carrier (4)	When pressing out the rubber mount the hollow cylinder (015) is supported in the retaining belt (012). Keep distance!
	Install
12	Coat new rubber mounts (1) with rubber assembly fluid		*BR00.45-Z-1010-06A
13	Attach thrust piece (03), support (04), spindle (05) and sleeve (011) with hollow cylinder (015) and retaining belt (012) to the rubber mount (1) of the rear axle carrier (4)		Figure
