Location 

The front axle central reservoir is located on the ABC front axle valve unit (Y36/1). The rear axle central reservoir is located in the spare tire well.

Task 

Oil under high pressure (approx. 200 bar) is stored in the two central reservoirs.

Function 

In the event of a rapidly rising oil consumption of the Active Body Control (ABC) system (e.g. when compensating for brake dive) the system is buffered with the two central reservoirs.
