Removing and installing SAM control module with fuse and relay box, front left - AR54.21-P-1260I

REMOVINGINSTALLING Removal, installation     
1 Connect quiescent current retention unit   AR54.10-P-1030-07I
2 Disconnect ground lead from battery   AR54.10-P-0003I
3 Open engine hood and move to upright position   AR88.40-P-1000M
4 Release and remove cover on left fuse box (F1)    
5 Fold up clamping lever (1) and remove supply cable (terminal 30)    
REFER TO BASIC KNOWLEDGE Fuse assignment, build condition   GF54.15-P-1256I
Relay assignment, build condition   GF54.15-P-1257I
6 Unclip fuse carrier (2) on control module unit (driver-side SAM control module (N10/6) with left front fuse and relay module (K40/6)). IMPORTANT Once the retaining lugs (arrow) have been pressed in the direction of the arrow, the fuse carriers can be taken out from the top.
IMPORTANT The components fitted to the left front fuse and relay module may vary depending on the equipment.
 
7 Remove the remaining couplings on the left front fuse and relay module    
8 Pull out control module unit from above NOTES Only pull out until the couplings (3) on control module unit (left front fuse and relay module (K40/6) and driver-side SAM control module (N10/6)) are accessible  
9 Unlock and remove couplings (3) If driver-side SAM control module or left front fuse and relay module are defective: ↓  
Disconnect SAM control module from fuse and relay module AR54.21-P-1259-01I
10 Install in reverse order
