The emergency call antenna is attached to the trunk lid.
The SDAR antenna (A2/82) is integrated in the emergency call antenna.
Task
The emergency call antenna fulfills the following tasks in the telephone module in a Telematic Alarm Identification on Demand (emergency call system) (TELE AID) emergency:
- Transmission of telephone signals from emergency call system control unit (N123/4)
- Reception and forwarding of telephone signals to the emergency call system control unit
In addition, the emergency call antenna receives terrestrial signals (usually in densely populated areas) or satellite signals from the satellite radio transmitters and routes them to the SDAR control unit (N87/5).
