Remove/install expansion reservoir - AR46.25-P-1000SXH

MODEL 216, 221 with electrohydraulic power steering (EHPS)

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of injury  to skin or eyes caused by hydraulic fluid spraying out under high pressure. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing hydraulic fluid Depressurize the hydraulic system completely before starting any work on the system. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. AS00.00-Z-0013-01A
    NOTES Before opening the hydraulic system the area surrounding the separation point should be cleaned thoroughly. Even the smallest dirt particles, introduced into the hydraulic components, can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the hydraulic system.  
1 Remove right engine intake air duct upstream of left air filter    
2 Suction off oil from expansion reservoir (1) SPECIAL TOOL Figure
3 Unclip coolant lines from expansion reservoir (1) and press to one side    
4 Press locking tab and pull expansion reservoir (1) upwards with attached lines and set aside    
5 Detach return line R1 (2) and feed line Z1 from expansion reservoir (1) IMPORTANT Plug openings.

6 Take out expansion reservoir (1)    
7 Install in the reverse order    
8 Fill power steering pump and bleed   AR46.30-P-0010SX
INSPECT Checking     
DANGER Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

9 Test run engine and check that steering system is not leaking and is functioning correctly
