MODEL 222 with CODE Z07 (Top protection) with CODE Z25 (Emergency fresh air system with equipment carrier plate)
Always observe the instructions for using the emergency fresh-air system. Work on the emergency fresh-air system should only be carried out by trained staff. Observe the applicable laws/guidelines.
Observe the following notes to avoid damaging the emergency fresh-air system:
When working on compressed air cylinder:
- Wear protective clothing, hearing protection, safety gloves, safety glasses and face mask.
When removing the compressed air cylinder:
- Always first disconnect the electrical connectors on the compressed air cylinder.
When installing the compressed air cylinder:
- Position compressed air cylinder at intended position in trunk and fasten with two pipe clamps equipped with rubber boots.
- When installing the hose, moisten with pure water, slide all the way on to connection fitting and fasten with the hose clamp.
- Ensure that all components are seated correctly.
When transporting and storing the compressed air cylinder:
- Transport compressed air cylinder so that it is not subject to shock and store so that it cannot fall over, fall down or change position.
- Protect compressed air cylinder from heat, chemicals and fire.
- When carrying, hold the compressed air cylinder below the high-pressure solenoid valve on the cylinder neck and at the bottom of the cylinder.
- Observe the recommended storage temperature of the compressed air cylinder of -20 °C to +60 °C.
If compressed air cylinder is damaged:
- If compressed air cylinder is damaged by shock from a fall or similar, empty and have examined by Drager Service.
- Always empty compressed air cylinder following contact with acids. Contact Drager Service to clarify further procedure.
Filling compressed air cylinder:
- The compressed air cylinder should only be filled by authorized personnel who are trained in handling high-pressure respiratory equipment.
When repairing compressed air cylinder:
- If repair is required, contact Drager Service.
Maintenance of emergency fresh-air system:
- Observe specified maintenance intervals.
