Application of sealant to timing case cover

IMPORTANT The timing case cover is sealed using a silicone sealant at positions A  , C  , D  .

NOTES Sealant must not be applied on the timing case cover at positions B  , pressure oil ducts to the cylinder crankcase, with the exception of the area around the bolt hole G  .

Otherwise clogging will occur to the oil supply bores: Main bearing, camshaft bearing, rocker arm and oil spray nozzles.  Because the sealant, which has been applied to positions B  , is carried along by the oil flow.
