The lines (1) identify the application of the sealant.
Clean sealing surfaces. Sealant may only be applied to the specified surfaces in the form of a bead with height and width of 1.2 mm (+ 0, 5 mm). Sealant swelling at the end points (cylinder head, engine oil pan) up to 2 mm are permissible. The sealant must be applied within 10 min. The sealant bead must not be spread. Only the sealant listed in the repair description may be used.
