	Remove/install
1	Remove automatic transmission together with torque converter	Vehicles without 4MATIC	AR27.10-P-0500SX
1		Vehicles with 4MATIC	AR27.10-P-0500SYZ
2	Install retaining lock for crankshaft/starter ring gear		AR03.30-P-5000SX
3	Remove bolts (1a) from drive plate (1)	If no tightening angle wrench is available, the bolts can be torqued further by the specified angle in a single operation using a wrench and tommy lever (1a). To avoid any angle errors, a bending rod torque wrench must not be used for tightening according to angle degrees. This falsifies the tightening torque.
3	Remove bolts (1a) from drive plate (1)		*BA03.30-P-1002-01M
4	Remove drive plate (1) from crankshaft flange	The cylinder pin (2) determines the installation location of drive plate (1).
	Checking
5	Check threaded union (3) in the drive plate (1)	In case of damaged or loose threaded unions (3), drive plate (1) must be replaced.
6	Install in the reverse order
7	Carry out first initialization and then sensor rotor adaptation using STAR DIAGNOSIS	Only when replacing. Menu guidance: Engine control module Adaptations Learning processes
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
