	Remove/install
	Risk of injury  caused by fingers being pinched or crushed  when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, tailgates or sliding roof.	Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
	Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts		AH00.00-N-0001-01A
1	Remove radiator grille	Model 216
2	Remove rubber seal (1) upward in area of radiator crossmember (2).
3	Remove expansion clips (5) and pull air ducting (8) out at side
4	Remove radiator bracket (6)	Check retaining lugs on radiator bracket (6), replace if necessary.
5	Disconnect electrical connector (9) from DTR control unit.	On vehicles with code 219 Distronic (DTR) or code 233 Distronic Plus
6	Unscrew bolts (10) on left and right		*BA88.40-P-1001-01M
7	Unscrew bolts (3) on left and right		*BA62.30-P-1002-02F
8	Remove bolts (4)		*BA62.30-P-1003-02F
9	Remove right engine hood catch (7) with engine hood cable connected	Slightly lift radiator crossmember (2) and remove right engine hood catch (7) from radiator crossmember (2).
10	Unhook engine hood cable from left engine hood catch (7).	Slightly lift radiator crossmember (2) and unclip engine hood cable (7) on left engine hood catch from retaining clamps.
11	Remove left engine hook catch (7).	Slightly lift radiator crossmember (2) and remove left engine hood catch (7) from radiator crossmember (2).
12	Remove radiator crossmember (2)
13	Install in the reverse order
14	Check radar sensor adjustment (A89b1) Distronic DTR	On vehicles with code 219 Distronic (DTR) or code 233 Distronic Plus	AR30.30-P-1000R
