When carrying out painting jobs (during repairs or when replacing parts) under the bumper and longitudinal member trim panels, the body surfaces must be additionally sprayed with MB permanent underfloor protection (dilutable with water) after priming.
This serves to ensure better protection against corrosion.

On all vehicles with the colors MB 9189 (emerald black) and MB 9199 (blue black), the longitudinal members do not need to be painted in MB 7167 (deep dark gray matt). The longitudinal members on these vehicles are painted in the vehicle color.
