For post-repair refinishing complaints it is assumed that the prescribed materials are used as per the paint manufacturer guidelines and processing specifications. Apart from this, the paint foreperson shall also have been convinced that all the parameters were within tolerance, and therefore any defects in workmanship can be ruled out. Many paintwork defects, e.g. dirt inclusions, overspray, paint runs and loss of gloss can be rectified through inexpensive polishing work (i.e. without paintwork rectification).

Complaints may arise:

In connection with the original paintwork (especially if there are color deviations).
Concerning the paintwork on original parts.
In connection with (problems with) the materials.
