Direct line
The overhead control panel control unit reads in the signals of the following components over a direct line:
- Interior temperature sensor with integrated fan (N70b1)
- Sliding roof switch
- Rear dome lamp switch
- Interior lamp switch
- Left front reading lamp switch
- Right front reading lamp switch
With CODE 882 (Interior monitoring) or with CODE 348 (Emergency call/assist system):
- Anti-theft alarm system/emergency call system button group
- Towing sensor button
- Emergency call system button
- Interior protection switch
- Breakdown assistance button
- MB-Info button
Roof LIN
The overhead control panel control unit reads in the requests from the SAM control unit (N10) to switch on the interior lights via the roof LIN.
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors are evaluated by the microprocessor and the corresponding components are actuated.
Actuation of components
Components are actuated with the following connection:
- Left sun visor mirror lamp (E14/1) via the left front mirror lamp switch (S101)
- Right sun visor mirror lamp (E14/2) via the right front mirror lamp switch (S102)
- Central load compartment dome lamp (E15/4)
- Left dome lamp, 2nd seat row (E15/12)
- Right dome lamp, 2nd seat row (E15/13)
Additionally, with CODE 882 (Interior monitoring) or with CODE 348 (Emergency call/assist system):
- Direct line
- Roof LIN
Direct line
The following components are actuated via a direct line:
- Left reading lamp (A67e1)
- Right reading lamp (A67e2)
- Left front interior lamp (integrated)
- Right front interior lamp (integrated)
- Anti-theft alarm system/emergency call system button group
- Towing sensor button
- Emergency call system button
- Interior protection switch
- Breakdown assistance button
- MB-Info button
Additionally, with CODE 876 (Interior lights package):
- Rear dome lamp (E15/3)
- Left rear reading lamp (E15/3e1) via the left rear reading lamp switch (E15/3s1)
- Right rear reading lamp (E15/3e2) via the right rear reading lamp switch (E15/3s2)
- Rear interior lamp (E15/3e3)
Roof LIN
The overhead control panel control unit sends status information of the switches mounted to the housing over the roof LIN to the SAM control unit, which - where applicable - forwards it to the evaluating control units.
