The ground line on the battery must always be detached before beginning work on the fuel system, otherwise pressure will be built up in the fuel system when a vehicle door or a flap is opened.

After changing fuel system components, an initial startup must be performed using the diagnostic system, and an additional engine test run must be conducted lasting approx. 1 minute without load at an engine speed of 1500 to 2000 rpm.
After replacing fuel injectors, mixture adaptation should be conducted using the diagnostic system.
Absolute cleanliness must be observed when working on the gasoline direct injection.
Even the smallest foreign particles in the gasoline direct injection components can lead to malfunctions and a total failure.
