Location

The Audio/COMAND display is fitted to the top center of the instrument panel.

Tasks

The Audio/COMAND display provides a uniform display of user-related operating and information windows and video images.

The Audio/COMAND display receives the following signals:

Terminal 30g and terminal 31
Control signals (e.g. switching on) via telematics CAN (CAN A) from the audio equipment
Picture signals via the LVDS interface (low voltage differential signaling) from the audio equipment

The Audio/COMAND display evaluates the input factors in the integrated microprocessor and actuates the color screen.
