Drain/pour in coolant - AR20.00-P-1142GQ

ENGINE 157, 276, 278, 642, 651 in MODEL 166

  Drain off     
DANGER Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

1 Unscrew cap (2) from coolant expansion reservoir (4) IMPORTANT Turn cap slowly and release overpressure, then unscrew cap (2).  
2 Remove corresponding underfloor paneling   AR61.30-P-1001GQ
  Drain coolant at radiator     
3 Push drain hose (3) onto left fitting (3a) on radiator (6)    
4 Open drain screw (7) at radiator (6) and drain off coolant IMPORTANT Observe regulations to dispose of coolant.  
5 Drain coolant from coolant pump (1) ENGINE 276  
6 Drain coolant at coolant line for turbocharger ENGINE 157, 278
IMPORTANT Unfasten drain screw from coolant line to ATL.
 
7 Unfasten coolant pump drain screw (5) at coolant pump (1)    
8 Push drain hose (3) onto coolant pump drain screw (5)    
9 Open coolant pump drain screw (5) at coolant pump (1) and drain off coolant    
  Pour in     
10 Tighten drain screw (7) on cooler (6) and detach drain hose (3) from fitting (3a)    
11 Tighten coolant pump drain screw (5) at coolant pump (1) and detach drain hose (3) from fitting ENGINE 276  
IMPORTANT Drain screw on coolant pump *BA20.10-P-1008-01AA 
12 Pour in coolant and bleed cooling system   AR20.00-P-1142-04A

13 Check cooling system for leak tightness   AR20.00-P-1010GQ 
DANGER Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
14 Perform an engine test run and check cooling system for proper operation
