| 1 | Switch off ignition | ||
| 2 | Remove air filter housing (1). | AR09.10-P-1150CV | |
| 3 | Disconnect electrical connector (2) at hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5) | ||
| 4 | Disengage right notch (3a) for hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5) at the resonance intake manifold (4) | ||
| 5 | Unlatch left notch (3b) for hot film MAF sensor (B2/5) on the resonance intake manifold (4) and tilt hot film MAF sensor (B2/5) slightly to the rear | ||
| 6 | Disengage spring steel sheet (5) and remove hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5) from the air duct housing (6) | ||
| Checking | |||
| 7 | Check seal (7) between air duct housing (6) and hot film MAF sensor (B2/5) for damage; replace if necessary | ||
| 8 | Check notches (3a, 3b) and spring steel sheet (5) for damage | If the spring steel sheet (5) is damaged, then the entire air duct housing (6) must be replaced.↓ |

| 9 | Install in the reverse order | ||
| 10 | Read out fault memory and erase if necessary | ||
