NOTES Notes on avoiding damage through contamination and foreign objects   AH00.00-P-5000-01A
1 Switch off ignition
2 Remove air filter housing (1).   AR09.10-P-1150CV
3 Disconnect electrical connector (2) at hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5)
4 Disengage right notch (3a) for hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5) at the resonance intake manifold (4) IMPORTANT Pull right notch (3a) upwards while doing this until it can no longer latch onto the resonance intake manifold (4).
5 Unlatch left notch (3b) for hot film MAF sensor (B2/5) on the resonance intake manifold (4) and tilt hot film MAF sensor (B2/5) slightly to the rear IMPORTANT Do not the damage the grid (A) in the process as it cannot be replaced separately!
6 Disengage spring steel sheet (5) and remove hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5) from the air duct housing (6) NOTES Do not deform spring steel sheet (5) in the process permanently; it will not get locked properly at the hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5) during installation.
INSPECT Checking
7 Check seal (7) between air duct housing (6) and hot film MAF sensor (B2/5) for damage; replace if necessary
8 Check notches (3a, 3b) and spring steel sheet (5) for damage IMPORTANT If notches (3a, 3b) are damaged, then the entire hot film MAF sensor (B2/5) must be replaced with a new one.
If the spring steel sheet (5) is damaged, then the entire air duct housing (6) must be replaced.↓

Replace air duct housing. AR09.20-P-0080CV
9 Install in the reverse order
10 Read out fault memory and erase if necessary
