Remove/install rear spring - AR32.20-P-0230CW

MODEL 204 without CODE P98 (Black Series)

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by pinching or crushing when working on springs or spring bodies that are under tension Use only approved tensioning devices; additionally screen off hazardous area if necessary. Check special tools for damage and proper operation (visual inspection). Wear protective gloves. AS00.00-Z-0001-01A
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
NOTES Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts   AH00.00-N-0001-01A
1 Remove rear wheel    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE     AP40.10-P-4050CW
2 Detach cover of spring control arm (2) IMPORTANT Press together locks of cover (6e) with sleeve (inside diameter 9 mm) or 9 mm box wrench (arrow).  
3 Tension rear spring (1)   AR32.20-P-0200-06CW

4 Remove rear spring (1) from spring control arm (2) NOTES
While working on the rear axle, care must be taken to ensure that the surface of aluminum components do not get any scratches, cracks and notches.
Otherwise the service life of the of the parts will be reduced.
IMPORTANT Clean spring control arm (2) in area of spring seat.
 
5 Install in the reverse order    
6 Check headlamp adjustment and correct if necessary
