Remove/install refrigerant compressor - AR83.55-P-5300GQ

ENGINES 157, 276, 278, 642, 651 in MODEL 166

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid refrigerants. Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been emptied. AS83.00-Z-0001-01A
1 Drain air conditioning system   AR83.30-P-1760CW 
2 Switch off ignition    
3 Remove upper engine cover Engine 157, 276, 278, 642  
4 Slacken poly-V belt and remove Engine 157, 278 AR13.20-P-0001MLJ
Engine 276 AR13.20-P-0001GQ
Engine 642 AR13.20-P-0001OGR
Engine 651 AR13.20-P-0001GQA
5 Remove hydraulic pump from active roll stabilization Vehicles with code (468) ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM AR32.34-P-0030GQ
6 Release and detach electrical connector (1) from refrigerant compressor (A9)    
7 Expose electrical feed line (2) and fasten to one side    
CLEAN Clean     
8 Clean and dry area surrounding line connections for lines (3) on refrigerant compressor (A9) Cleaner from package *BR00.45-Z-1028-04A 
9 Detach lines (3) from refrigerant compressor (A9) IMPORTANT Seal off connections immediately using stop plugs SPECIAL TOOL .
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace sealing rings and coat with compressor oil.

TORQUE SPECIFICATION Engine 642 *BA83.55-P-1002-01A 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Engine 651 *BA83.55-P-1003-01W

10 Remove screws/bolts (4) and remove refrigerant compressor (A9) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Screw on ground line (5) at same time.  
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Engine 157, 276, 278 *BA83.55-P-1001-01M 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Engine 642 *BA83.55-P-1005-01A 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Engine 651 *BA83.55-P-1001-01W 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Engine 651 *BA83.55-P-1002-01W 
11 Install in the reverse order    
12 Break in refrigerant compressor (A9) using STAR DIAGNOSIS When replacing refrigerant compressor (A9)
IMPORTANT Menu option: Control unit adaptations.		 AD00.00-P-2000-04A
