	Risk of injury  caused by pinching or crushing when working on springs or spring bodies that are under tension	Use only approved tensioning devices; additionally screen off hazardous area if necessary. Check special tools for damage and proper operation (visual inspection). Wear protective gloves.	AS00.00-Z-0001-01A

2	Remove rear wheels

3.1	Detach linkage of ALB controller (5) from axle housing	Vehicles with ALB controller on axle housing
3.2	Detach linkage from level sensor on trailing arm	Vehicles without ALB controller on axle housing
4	Support rear axle and secure to prevent it from falling down
5	Detach hydraulic lines (4) at rear axle	The brake fluid expansion reservoir must not run empty. Otherwise difficulties may be encountered when bleeding. Brake fluid may not make contact with paint. Dripping brake fluid causes paint damage. Seal off connections immediately using stop plugs.

6	Detach electrical lines (7) at brackets
7	Detach nuts (1) from dampers (2)	Bolt, shock absorber to rear axle	*BA32.25-P-1001-03E
8	Pull bolts out of dampers (2)
9	Detach link rod stabilizer bar from frame	Only with vehicles with stabilizer bar on rear axle, if necessary

10	Lower rear axle	Only lower the rear axle until the rear springs (3) can be removed.
11	Remove rear springs (3)	Check plastic hose (6) at first thread at top and at bottom on rear spring (3) for damage and replace if necessary. Ensure rear spring (3) is seated correctly.
12	Install in the reverse order
13	Bleed brake system and check for proper operation and leaktightness	MODEL 461 MODEL 463 (except 463.270/271) up to model year 2013 without CODE 979 (Special protection version)	AR42.10-P-0010GG
