REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of death  when touching components on vehicles with high-voltage on-board electrical system Do not touch components and open lines of the high-voltage on-board electrical system. Persons who wear electronic implants (e.g. cardiac pacemakers), must not carry out any work on high-voltage on-board electrical systems. AS54.00-Z-0001-01A
1 Remove intake air duct upstream of air filter MODEL 212.098/298  
2 Unhook coolant circulation pump for transmission oil cooling (M13/7) at the bracket of oil cooler (2) MODEL 212.098/298  
3.1 Remove engine compartment paneling MODEL 212.095/195  
AR61.20-P-1105EW
3.2 Remove bottom sections of soundproofing MODEL 212.098/298  
AR94.30-P-5300EW
4 Disconnect transmission oil feed line (1a) or transmission oil return line (1b) at oil cooler (3) and at transmission (4)   AR27.10-P-0501-03CW
NOTES Before disconnecting, the area around the transmission oil feed line (1a) or transmission oil return line (1b) must be cleaned thoroughly in the area of the separating points at the oil cooler (3) and transmission (4).
Otherwise, dirt particles in the hydraulic components could lead to malfunction or total failure of transmission (4).
NOTES Do not kink or bend the transmission oil feed line (1a) or the transmission oil return line (1b).
Otherwise, the hydraulic system could fail or the transmission (4) could get damaged.
IMPORTANT The transmission oil feed line (1a) and transmission oil return line (1b) can be removed individually.
Collect escaping oil and seal the line connections.
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, transmission oil line to transmission *BA27.10-P-1009-04G

5 Remove bracket (5) and double clamp (6) MODEL 212.098/298  
6.1 Remove double clamp (7) MODEL 212.095/195  
6.2 Slacken and turn double clamp (8) until the transmission oil feed line (1a) or transmission oil return line (1b) can be removed MODEL 212.098/298  
7 Remove retaining clamp (10) MODEL 212.095/195
When removing transmission oil feed line (1a).
 
8 Remove retaining clamp (11) MODEL 212.095/195
When removing transmission oil return line (1b).
 
9 Remove transmission oil feed line (1a) or transmission oil return line (1b) to the back NOTES Do not kink or bend the transmission oil feed line (1a) or the transmission oil return line (1b).
Otherwise, the hydraulic system could fail or the transmission (4) could get damaged.
 
10 Install in the reverse order    
11 Check and correct oil level in the transmission   AR27.00-P-0270EH
