Task

The upper control panel control unit performs the following tasks:

Reading in of signals
Transmitting signals

Signals are read in via the following connection:

Instrument panel LIN (LIN 1)

Instrument panel LIN

The upper control panel control unit reads in function feedback requests over the instrument panel LIN. These are sent from the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).

Activity of the following functions is signaled by the corresponding light emitting diodes:

Automatic child seat recognition (as of 1.6.13)
Anti-theft alarm system (ATA) (as of 1.6.13 with code (551) Antitheft alarm system (ATA))
Hazard warning system (as of 1.6.13)
Parking system (with code (220) PARKTRONIC or code (230) Exclusive Parking Assist or code (235) Active Parking Assist)
