Check and correct the adjustment of the headlamps - AP82.10-P-8260H

INSPECT Check     
DANGER Risk of death  caused by high voltage levels present at xenon headlamps.
Risk of explosion/fire hazard  due to highly flammable substances in the area of damaged xenon bulbs
Risk of injury  due to UV light, hot components on xenon headlamps and glass splinters when xenon bulbs burst
Risk of poisoning  caused by inhalation of mercury vapors and by toxic salts and mercury compounds being ingested or coming into contact with skin		 Do not come into contact with parts that are under high voltage. Persons with active electronic implants  (e.g. heart pacemakers) must never work on xenon headlamps. Switch off entire lighting system. Wear insulated safety shoes, safety glasses and protective gloves. Remove highly inflammable materials from the hazard area. Ensure sufficient ventilation in the working area. AS82.10-Z-0001-01A
DANGER Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.

1 Check tire inflation pressure, correct if necessary    
2 Park the vehicle on a horizontal, level surface IMPORTANT Vehicle must be in curb condition (curb weight, fuel tank full or corresponding additional weight).  
3 Lower vehicle height to normal level IMPORTANT The indicator lamp for the vehicle level adjustment button on the center console must not light up.  
4 Drive vehicle back and forth several times in succession    
5 Prepare headlamp aimer IMPORTANT Align headlamp aimer approx. 50 cm in front of the headlamps parallel with the vehicle at the height of light source. Adjust specified headlamp inclination on scale of headlamp aimer.

6 Start the engine and switch on low beam    
7 Check headlamp range adjustment of the left and right lamp unit for proper operation by inserting additional weights in the luggage compartment IMPORTANT When loading and unloading, the light-dark boundary must be able to be set to its previously determined position.  
8 Remove additional weights from the luggage compartment    
9 Check low beam setting IMPORTANT Check fog lamp, if necessary correct adjustment subject to a separate repair order, to do so:

Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and move headlamp to zero position.		 AP82.10-P-8260-01A
10 Check setting of high beam IMPORTANT Check fog lamp, if necessary correct adjustment subject to a separate repair order, to do so:

Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and move headlamp to zero position.		 AP82.10-P-8260-02A
11 Check fog lamp setting IMPORTANT If necessary, correct setting subject to a separate repair order. AP82.10-P-8260-04A
12 Detach STAR DIAGNOSIS IMPORTANT Following adjustment operations  
13 Switch off light and turn off engine
