Headlamp range adjustment for vehicles with code 614 Bi-xenon headlamp unit, added

Operation step 6.2, 7.2

	Check
	Risk of death caused by high voltage levels present at xenon headlamps. Risk of explosion/fire hazard due to highly flammable substances in the area of damaged xenon bulbs Risk of injury due to UV light, hot components on xenon headlamps and glass splinters when xenon bulbs burst Risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of mercury vapors and by toxic salts and mercury compounds being ingested or coming into contact with skin	Do not come into contact with parts that are under high voltage. Persons with active electronic implants (e.g. heart pacemakers) must never work on xenon headlamps. Switch off entire lighting system. 1	Check tire inflation pressure, correct if necessary
2	Park the vehicle on a horizontal, level surface	Vehicle must be in curb condition (curb weight, fuel tank full or corresponding additional weight). The vehicle level must not change when the brakes are applied.

4	Prepare headlamp aimer	Align headlamp aimer approx. 50 cm in front of the headlamps parallel with the vehicle at the height of light source. Adjust specified headlamp inclination on scale of headlamp aimer. Headlamp aimer gotis://E_82_01.0
5	Start the engine and switch on low beam
6.1	Check headlamp range control for proper function	Except vehicles with code 614 Bi-xenon headlamp unit and except vehicles with code 494 USA version Both light beams of the headlamps must be evenly adjusted.
6.2	Check function of headlamp range adjustment through placement of additional weights in the luggage compartment	Vehicles with code 614 Bi-xenon headlamp unit The height of the light-dark boundary shall not change when loading or unloading the weights.
7.1	Move switch of headlamp range control into position 0	Except vehicles with code 614 Bi-xenon headlamp unit and except vehicles with code 494 USA version
7.2	Remove additional weights from the luggage compartment	Vehicles with code 614 Bi-xenon headlamp unit
8	Check low beams and adjust if necessary	On vehicles with code 614 Bi-xenon headlamp unit, correct adjustment subject to separate repair order.	AP82.10-P-8260-01A
