REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Carry out initial startup of overhead control panel control unit (N70) or overhead control panel electronics (N70/3) When replacing overhead control panel control unit (N70) or overhead control panel electronics (N70/3).  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory   AD00.00-P-2000-04A
    IMPORTANT With code (882) Interior monitoring also perform initial startup of ATA [EDW] control unit.  
2 Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key    
3.1 Unclip mirror base cover (1) MODEL 204, 207.3, 212, 218

3.2 Unclip rain sensor cover MODEL 207.4
without CODE 513 (Speed Limit Assist)
without CODE 608 (Automatic high beam control)
 
3.3 Slide cover for rain sensor to the foremost position and remove downwards MODEL 207.4
with CODE 513 (Speed Limit Assist)
with CODE 608 (Automatic high beam control)
 
4 Release and lower overhead control panel control unit (N70) or overhead control panel electronics (N70/3) IMPORTANT Use a check card (2) or similar object to slide centrally between the headliner and the overhead control panel control unit (N70) or the overhead control panel electronics (N70/3) and push lock (3) towards direction of travel.  
5 Disconnect all electrical connectors at the overhead control panel control unit (N70) or overhead control panel electronics (N703) IMPORTANT Depending on vehicle equipment.  
6 Detach and remove overhead control panel control unit (N70) or overhead control panel electronics (N70/3) (arrow)    
7 Install in the reverse order    
8 Normalize tilting/sliding roof When replacing overhead control panel control unit (N70) with code (414) Power glass titling/sliding roof.
