Remove/install glove compartment - AR68.10-P-1400EL

With CODE 508 (Navigation box preinstallation) or with CODE 509 (Navigation box)

NOTES Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge   AH54.00-P-0001-01A
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove right cover below dashboard (4)    
2 Remove passenger side trim pieces (2) from instrument panel (4)   AR68.10-P-1180EL 
3 Remove bolts (3)    
4 Remove glove compartment (1) from instrument panel (4) until electrical connectors on glove compartment (X29/1) are accessible IMPORTANT Model 218
with code 508 (Navigation box preinstallation)

with code 509 (Navigation box)
Observe electrical connectors on holder for navigation module (A2/30-1).
 
5 Disconnect electrical connector for glove compartment (X29/1)    
6 Disconnect electrical connectors from holder for navigation module (A2/30-1) Model 218
with code 508 (Navigation box preinstallation)

with code 509 (Navigation box)
 
7 Remove glove compartment (1)    
8 Remove holder for navigation module (A2/30-1) from glove compartment (1) Model 218
with code 508 (Navigation box preinstallation)
Model 218
with code 509 (Navigation box)
When replacing glove compartment (1)
 
9 Install in the reverse order INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Ensure that connection (arrow) of air duct (5) on glove compartment (1) is seated correctly.
