Location 

The voice control system control unit (VCS [SBS]) is located in the left rear of the trunk.

Task 

The voice control system has the following tasks:

• Reading in of signals

Reading in of signals 

Signals are read in via the following connections:

• Direct line 
• Media Oriented System Transport (MOST) 

Direct line 

The following signals are read in with direct lines:

• Electronic wake-up for MOST
• Voice input signals via 2 microphone inputs from the handsfree system microphone group (A67b1)

MOST 

The following signal is read in via LIN:

• Signal for activating or deactivating the voice control system (VCS) from the COMMAND controller unit (A40/3)

Processing signals 

The spoken commands are processed internally in the voice control system (VCS [SBS]) control unit.

Signals are sent through the following connection:
