Adjust camber and caster at the front axle - AR40.20-P-0263EW

REMOVING Remove     
1.1 Remove engine compartment panels    
Vehicles with gasoline engine AR61.20-P-1105EW
1.2 Remove bottom section of soundproofing    
Vehicles with diesel engine AR94.30-P-5300EW
2 Raise the vehicle at the front axle    
  Adjust     
3 Install repair bolt (19c) IMPORTANT Screw on the nut (19b) of the repair bolt (19c) until it abuts, however do not tighten yet, so that the elastomer bearing of the strut rod (18) or cross strut (17) can twist when rocking vehicle to settle the suspension.  
4.1 Adjust camber MODEL 212
With camber correction
IMPORTANT Only a specified level of the vehicle incl. tolerances are shown in the displayed basic data. No level-dependent values are specified. Dependent on the measured level, if the vehicle is in the tolerance range, this measurement is OK.

IMPORTANT Only three specified levels of the vehicle incl. tolerances are shown in the displayed basic data. Dependent on the measured level, if the vehicle is in the tolerance range, this measurement is OK.

6 Recheck vehicle level at front axle after adjusting the camber and caster   AR40.20-P-0301EW
IMPORTANT The vehicle level must correspond to the quoted specified values.  
7 Tighten the nut (19b) of the repair bolt (19c) NOTES The repair bolt (19c) must not turn after fixing. Counterhold the repair bolt (19c) when tightening the nut (19b).
Otherwise the lock tabs in the front axle carrier may be damaged.
