Flushing out oil cooler lines and oil cooler - AR27.55-P-0001A

MODIFICATION NOTES

30.5.07 Kerosene cleaning agent replaced by automatic transmission fluids (ATF, specification 236.10) Step 6
  Extracting oil     
NOTES Before opening the hydraulic system, thoroughly clean the area surrounding the separation point. Even the smallest dirt particles, introduced into the hydraulic components, can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the hydraulic system    
1 Connect pump (2) with vacuum connection to the reservoir (3) IMPORTANT See picture A  
2 Connect plastic hose to pressure fitting (1) and slide through the oil filler pipe completely down into the oil pan    
3 Operate pump (2) IMPORTANT The extracted oil runs into the reservoir (3).  
  Flushing     
4 Connect pump (2) with pressure fitting (1) to reservoir (3) IMPORTANT See picture B  
5 Fill reservoir (3) with transmission oil    
6 Connect plastic hose to pressure fitting (1) and, using a corresponding connector (4), screw onto one of the two oil cooling lines (5 or 6) and flush out with transmission oil IMPORTANT Ensure that the transmission oil flows freely.
IMPORTANT In the event of severe contamination, change the transmission oil several times.
 
REFER TO CAPACITIES & SPECIFICATIONS Automatic transmission fluids (ATF, Sheet 236.10)   BB00.40-P-0236-10A
7 Connect second plastic hose to the other oil cooling line (5 or 6) and collect transmission oil which flows out IMPORTANT If necessary secure the plastic hose to the connection fitting using a hose clamp.  
8 Install in the reverse order    
9 Fill transmission with gear oil NOTES Always observe work procedure and Specifications for Operating Fluids, otherwise transmission will be damaged.
