Remove/install overhead control panel control unit - AR82.20-P-1000SX

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
NOTES Notes on avoiding damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge   AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1.1 Temporarily store basic data of the overhead control panel control unit (N70) in STAR DIAGNOSIS When replacing overhead control panel control unit (N70).
IMPORTANTInstallation  : Transfer buffered basic data to new overhead control panel control unit (N70), and for code (414) Tilting/sliding roof, normalize the anti-pinch protection.
 
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory   AD00.00-P-2000-04A
2 Switch off ignition and withdraw transmitter key or Keyless Go start/stop button from the EIS [EZS] control unit IMPORTANT Keyless Go start/stop button only for vehicles with code (889) Keyless Go.  
3 Open eyeglass compartment (1) and release locks (2) using suitable screwdriver    
4 Swivel overhead control panel control unit (N70) down and remove from guides until electrical connectors (3) are accessible IMPORTANT The number of electrical connectors (3) can vary depending on the vehicle equipment.  
5.1 Remove sound amplifier microphone (B25/6) from cover On vehicles with code (810) Sound system  
6 Unplug electrical connectors (3) and remove overhead control panel control unit (N70)    
7.1 Remove cover for inside rearview mirror from overhead control panel control unit (N70) When replacing overhead control panel control unit (N70).  
8 Install in the reverse order    
9.1 Normalize tilting/sliding roof For vehicles with code (414) Tilting/sliding roof
