Prepare new rear fender part - AR63.50-P-1400-03SC

  1. Position needle template on Y-markings (arrows) on rear fender (1) and scribe cutting line (area A).

    IMPORTANT When the C-pillar is damaged, transfer Y-marking (arrows) upward according to dimension (a), position needle template and scribe cutting line (area A1 ).

    Dimension (a) is 120 mm.

  2. Cut along broken line using body saw (area A or A 1) and remove section (1.1).

    IMPORTANT For all other operation steps observe information on pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

  3. Grind mating surfaces on rear fender (1) down to bare metal from inside in cross-hatched areas using round wire brush (areas B and C).
  4. Grind mating surfaces on rear fender (1) down to bare metal on both sides in cross-hatched areas using round wire brush (areas E, F and G).
  5. Remove grinding and drill shavings using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  6. Coat insides of spot weld flange with zinc dust paint (areas E, F and G).

  7. Grind mating surface on rear fender (1) down to bare metal from inside in cross-hatched areas using round wire brush (areas L and N).
  8. Grind mating surfaces on rear fender (1) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas on both sides using round wire brush (areas H, J, K and N1 ).
  9. Grind mating surfaces on rear fender (1) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas on one side using round wire brush (areas D, M and N2 ).
  10. Grind mating surfaces on rear fender (1) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas using stainless steel round wire brush (areas P, Q and R).
  11. Remove grinding and drill shavings using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  12. Coat insides of spot weld flange with zinc dust paint (areas K and N1 ).
