Install outer rear wheelhouse - AR63.10-P-0670-06SC

  1. Install outer rear wheelhouse (1), rear fender, trunk lid, taillamps, rubber seal and rear locking eye.
  2. Fit outer rear wheelhouse (1), rear fender, trunk lid and taillamps and check gaps using SPECIAL TOOL feeler gauge and adjust.
  3. Fasten outer rear wheelhouse (1) and rear fender with clamping pliers and remove trunk lid, taillamps, rubber seal and locking eye.
  4. Drill rivet holes on outer rear wheelhouse (1) with dia. 6.5 mm bit (area A).
  5. Remove outer rear wheelhouse (1) and rear fender.
  6. Deburr rivet holes on both sides and remove drill shavings using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  7. Coat insides of riveted joints with zinc dust paint.

  8. Apply 2-component adhesive to mating surfaces in cross-hatched areas.

    NOTES Thoroughly clean all bonding surfaces and do not coat with zinc dust paint, otherwise adhesion of the 2-component adhesive may decrease.

    IMPORTANT Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces. Observe manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of 2-component adhesive.

  9. Install outer rear wheelhouse (1) and fasten with manual temporary fasteners and clamping pliers.
  10. Outer rear wheelhouse (1) POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas D, E, E1 and F).
  11. Outer rear wheelhouse (1) SHIELDED GAS STITCH WELD (area E 2).

  12. Outer rear wheelhouse (1) POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas B and C).

  13. Rivet outer rear wheelhouse (1) using Polygrip flat/round head rivet, dia. 6.4X14 (area A).
  14. Clean weld joints using round wire brush and remove drill and grinding shavings using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  15. Coat weld joints and bare inner surfaces with zinc dust paint.
