Install and weld in inner C-pillar side wall - AR63.10-P-0700-03SC
- Install inner C-pillar (1), outer rear wheel well (3), outer C-pillar (2) and strut (5), fit and fasten with clamping pliers.
- Install rear fender, side wall reinforcement (4), trunk lid, right taillamp, left taillamp and rubber seal.
- Fit rear fender, trunk lid, right taillamp, left taillamp and check gaps using
feeler gauge and adjust.
- Fasten side wall reinforcement (4) and strut (5) using tack welds (areas M, N and W).
When working on the left side of the vehicle, fit strut (5) with E-net compensator and ensure that hole pattern coincides.
- Remove E-net compensator, rear fender, trunk lid, left taillamp and right taillamp.
- Drill dia. 6.5 mm rivet holes (area W).
- Strut (5)
(areas M and N).
- Cut tack welds on side wall reinforcement (4) (area W).
- Remove side wall reinforcement (4) and outer C-pillar (2).
- Level tack weld residues on side wall reinforcement (4) and outer C-pillar (2) (area W).
- Deburr rivet holes on side wall reinforcement (4) and outer C-pillar (2) on both sides (area W).
- Remove drill shavings using wet/dry vacuum cleaner
- Coat insides of riveted joints as well as remaining tacks weld with zinc dust paint.
- Drill dia. 6.5 mm rivet holes (area A, C, D and E).
- Remove outer rear wheel well (3) and inner C-pillar (1), deburr rivet holes on both sides (area A, C, D and E).
Thoroughly clean all bonding surfaces and do not coat with zinc dust paint, otherwise adhesion of the 2-component adhesive may be adversely affected.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces. Observe manufacturer's specifications of 2-component adhesive for drying and processing time.
- Apply 2-component adhesive to mating surfaces in cross-hatched areas from inside (area F and G).
- Apply 2-component adhesive to all other mating surfaces in cross-hatched areas from outside.
