The following operation steps are shown on model 221 on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed analogously on the right side in the event of damage.

1. Install side reinforcement (1), fit with welding device and fasten with clamping pliers.

2. Drill dia. 5 mm rivet holes on side reinforcement (1) (areas A, B, C, D, E and F).
3. Fasten side reinforcement (1) with manual temporary sheet metal fastener.
4. Unscrew upper reinforcement link rod (2) and lower reinforcement link rod (3) from welding device.
5. Remove upper reinforcement link rod (2) and lower reinforcement link rod (3).
6. Remove welding device
7. Drill dia. 5 mm rivet holes on side reinforcement (1) (areas G and H).
8. Remove side reinforcement (1).
9. Deburr rivet holes on side reinforcement (1) and body on both sides.

10. Rivet side reinforcement (1) with blind rivet, steel/steel, 4.8 X8 (areas A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H).
11. Remove drill shavings using wet/dry vacuum cleaner
