Function requirements 

• Circuit 15R OFF
• Tilting/sliding roof (SR) opened in sliding position

Function 

Rain closing feature is actuated if moisture is recognized on the windshield by the rain/light sensor. The signals from the rain/light sensors are read in by the overhead control panel control unit. The overhead control panel control unit moves the SR to the tilt position, via the roof system drive unit, when it stars to rain.

The obstruction sensor unit is activated during rain closing and actuates the SR to reverse direction, if necessary. After reversing direction, rain closing feature is deactivated.

As a matter of principle, the SR is closed only to the tilt position to ensure sufficient ventilation of the vehicle interior.
