IMPORTANT With model 204.0 with code (540) Roller sun blind, the rear window roller sun blind button is installed instead of the stationary heater button.

IMPORTANT As of 1.12.10 with code (B03) ECO start/stop function the ECO start/stop function button (N72/1s50) is also installed.

Location 

The upper control panel control unit is located on the center console.

Task 

The upper control panel control unit performs the following tasks:

Reading in of signals 

Signals are read in via the following connection:

Instrument panel LIN 

The upper control panel control unit reads in function feedback requests over the instrument panel LIN. These are sent from the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).

The activity of the following functions is indicated by the corresponding LEDs in the upper control panel control unit:

Evaluation of input factors 

The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.

Transmit signals 

Signals are sent through the following connection:

Instrument panel LIN 

The upper control panel control unit sends the function requests for the integrated buttons over the instrument panel LIN to the front SAM control unit.
