Check And Correct Power Steering Fluid Level - AP46.00-D-4611A

MODEL 906

INSPECT Check     
1.1 Remove oil reservoir cap (1) Only on oil reservoir without separate oil dipstick (2)
IMPORTANT Check cap seal for damage and replace if necessary.
 
1.2 Remove oil dipstick (2). Only on oil reservoir with separate oil dipstick (2)  
2.1 Check oil level IMPORTANT The oil reservoir is filled correctly when the oil is between the "Min." and "Max." mark (arrow) at approx. 20 °C.  
2.2 Check oil level Only on oil reservoir with oil dipstick (2) on cap (1) and with separate oil dipstick (2)
IMPORTANT Clean oil dipstick (2) with a lint free rag, insert fully, pull out again and read off oil level.
IMPORTANT The oil reservoir is filled correctly when the oil is between the "Min." and "Max." mark corresponding to oil temperature.
 
3 Adjust to correct level    
REFER TO CAPACITIES & SPECIFICATIONS Automatic transmission fluids (ATF, type A, suffix A) MODEL 906 BB00.40-P-0236-02A
REFER TO CAPACITIES & SPECIFICATIONS Steering gear oils (ATF) MODEL 906 BB00.40-P-0236-03A
4.1 Mount and tighten cap (1) Only on oil reservoir without separate oil dipstick (2)  
4.2 Insert oil dipstick (2). Only on oil reservoir with separate oil dipstick (2)
