| 2 | Remove rattling protection (4) from boot (1) | ||
| 3 | Separate electrical connectors (2) | ||
| 4 | Remove bellows (1) | ||
| 5 | Unclip clamping rings (3) from A-pillar and door | ||
| 6 | Fasten guide cable on wiring harness for driver outside mirror (M21/6) or passenger outside mirror (M21/7) | ||
| 7 | Unclip cover cap (7) | ||
| 8 | Remove screws/bolts (8) | ||

| 9 | Slide driver-side outside mirror (M21/6) or passenger-side outside mirror (M21/7) upward out of hook mount (6) of hook (5) and pull off of door | ||
| 10 | Pull guide cable through door until both ends extend the same distance from the door | ||
| 11 | Disconnect cable set from guide cable | ||
| 12 | Install in the reverse order | ||
