Remove Firewall Half - Ar62.25-D-1110-01H

  1. Scribe cuts on firewall half (1) and cut (areas A and B).

    NOTES Do not cut too deeply. Otherwise the components below can be damaged and weakened (area B).

    IMPORTANT Dimensions:

    a = 150 mm

    b = 100 mm

  2. Scribe cuts on firewall half (1) and cut (areas C, D, E and F).

    NOTES Do not cut too deeply. Otherwise the components below can be damaged and weakened (areas D and E).

    IMPORTANT Dimension:

    c= 285 mm.

  3. Expose spot welds on firewall half (1) and cut out (area G).

  4. Fold up lug (1.1).
  5. Expose spot welds on firewall half (1) and cut out (areas H, J and K).
  6. Expose spot welds on firewall half (1) and cut out (area L).

  7. Expose spot welds on firewall half (1) and cut out (areas M and N).

    IMPORTANT Cut out from outside (area N).

  8. Expose spot welds on console (2) and cut out (area O).
  9. Remove mounting console (2).
  10. Remove damaged firewall half (1).

  11. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in the crosshatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

  12. Remove drilling chips/savings.
  13. Coat inside of spot welding flanges with zinc dust paint.
