Cut Off Outer Lower Section Of Corner Pillar Paneling - Ar64.30-D-5705-05H
The following operation steps are shown on model 906.633 on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed analogously on the right side in the event of damage.
- Expose weld seam and separation points on outer corner paneling (1) (areas A, B and C).
- Mark separation lines on outer corner paneling (1) (areas A and B).
Dimensions:
- Cut outer corner paneling (1) at separating points (areas A and B).
- Cut weld seam at outer corner paneling (1) (area C).
- Expose spot welds on outer corner paneling (1) (areas D, E, E1 and F).
- Mill off spot welds on outer corner paneling (1) (areas D, E, E1
and F).
Mill off spot welds on underside of spot weld flange (area E).
- Expose weld seams on outer corner paneling (1) (area G).
- Separate weld seams on outer corner paneling (1) (area G).
- Remove damaged outer corner paneling (1).
- Remove adhesive residue in crosshatched area.
- Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in the crosshatched areas.
Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.
- Remove shavings and drill chips.
- Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
Do not apply zinc dust paint to bonding surfaces. Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.
