Prepare Rear Wall Partial Section For Installation - Ar64.10-D-5747-02HA

  1. Scribe separation line on rear wall (1) (area A).

    IMPORTANT Transfer separation line from body (area A).

    IMPORTANT Scribe separation line for crimp connecting flange approx. 10 mm offset (area A).

  2. Cut rear wall (1) at separation point with body jig saw (area A)

  3. Remove remaining piece.

  4. Punch holes with Ø 5 mm hole punching pliers on rear wall (1) (area B).

    Hole punching pliers, 5 mm dia.

  5. Grind mating surfaces on rear wall (1) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas with round wire brush.

    Round wire brush

    IMPORTANT Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

    IMPORTANT Grind area C down to bare metal only from inside.

  6. Grind crosshatched areas on rear wall (1) down to bare metal around holes with round wire brush.

    Round wire brush

  7. Extract shavings.

    Wet and dry vacuum cleaner

  8. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.

  9. Punch holes with Ø 5 mm hole punching pliers on upper crossmember (2) (areas D and E).

    Hole punching pliers, 5 mm dia.

  10. Punch holes with Ø 6 mm hole punching pliers on upper crossmember (2) and connection element (3) (areas F, G and H1 ).

  11. Grind crosshatched areas on upper crossmember (2) and connection element (3) down to bare metal around holes with round wire brush.

  12. Grind mating surfaces on upper crossmember (2) and connection element (3) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas with round wire brush.

    IMPORTANT Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

  13. Extract shavings.

    Wet and dry vacuum cleaner

  14. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
  15. Install upper crossmember (2) and connection element (3) on rear wall (1), fit and fix in place with vise grip pliers. Vice grip pliers (standard)

    IMPORTANT Transfer installation position from old part

  16. Upper crossmember (2) and connection element (3) POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas I, K, L, N and O).

    Multifunction device (spot welding)

  17. Upper crossmember (2) SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD (areas J and M).

    Inert gas welder
