Adjust Closing System On Rear-End Door - Ar72.20-D-1032-07A

Adjust lower and upper door lock on left rear-end door 

1. Loosen bolts (1) on lower door lock.
2. Loosen bolts (3) on upper door lock.

3. Loosen bolts (2) on lower lock striker with guide pin.
4. Loosen bolts (4) on upper lock striker with guide pin.
5. Align lower lock striker and guide pin with center of guide and arrest in outmost position with bolts (2).
6. Close left rear-end door.

7. Tighten bolts (1) on lower door lock.

   Observe specified tightening torque.

8. Loosen bolts (2) on lower locking eye with guide pin and adjust door flush

   Have second person check flushness of left rear-end door in relation to roof panel.

9. Tighten bolts (2) on lower lock striker with guide pin.

   Observe specified tightening torque.

10. Align upper lock striker and guide pin with center of guide and arrest in outmost position with bolts (4).
11. Close left rear-end door.
12. Tighten bolts (3) on upper door lock (3)

    Observe specified tightening torque.

13. Loosen bolts (4) on upper lock striker with guide pin and adjust door flush in relation to roof.

    Adjust left rear-end door in relation to roof panel to a lock height of 1 to 2 mm inside.

14. Tighten bolts (4) on upper lock striker with guide pin.

    Observe specified tightening torque.

    Adjust center door lock on right rear-end door 

15. Loosen bolts (8) on upper door lock.
16. Loosen bolts (9) on upper lock striker with guide pin.

17. Loosen bolts (5) on center door lock locking eye
18. Align door lock lock striker in center and arrest with bolts (5).
19. Close both rear-end doors.
20. Adjust center locking eye until right rear-end door is flush with left rear-end door.

    The center door lock striker should reach into the lock in the center. Do not lift or pull down right rear-end door.

21. Tighten bolts (5)

    Observe specified tightening torque.

    Adjust guide pin for left rear-end door

22. Mark guide pin at dimension (A)

    Dimension: 

    A = 14 mm (tension)

23. Loosen bolts (7) until guide can be moved easily.
24. Close rear door.

25. Adjust marking of guide pin flush to end edge of guide and tighten bolts (6, 7)

    Observe specified tightening torque.

    Adjust upper door lock on right rear-end door 

26. Align lock striker with guide pin in center in relation to guide on upper door lock and fix in place ini outmost position with bolts (9)
27. Close right rear-end door
28. Tighten bolts (8) on upper door lock.

    Observe specified tightening torque.

29. Loosen bolts (9) on upper locking eye with guide pin and adjust door flush
30. Tighten bolts (9).

    Have second person check that rear-end doors are flush with one another and right rear rear-end door is recessed 1 to 2 mm in relation to roof panel.

    Observe specified tightening torque.

    Adjust door lock normalization 

31. Open left rear-end door
32. Lock upper and lower door lock.
33. Loosen bolts on rear-end door inner lock (10)
34. Slowly actuate door opener (12) until bottom door lock opens.
35. Hold door opener (12) in this position
36. Turn adjusting screw (11) until upper bolt releases.
37. Tighten bolts (10).
