DANGER Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

REMOVING Remove
1 Remove upper engine cover
INSPECT Check
2 Check coolant level and antifreeze content coolant in low-temperature circuit FLUID SPECIFICATION Coolant mixing ratio
In a case of the antifreeze content of the coolant being too low:

Add antifreeze or replace the coolant.

4 Connect pressure pump (4) at tester cap (3) SPECIAL TOOL Pressure pump Fig 2
5 Apply compressed air to low-temperature circuit for 2 minutes at the test pressure NOTES
Do not exceed the specified test pressure. Damage can occur on the engine cooling system otherwise.
IMPORTANT There should be no loss of pressure within a period of 2 minutes.

Test pressure for pressure-testing the engine cooling system
In the event of pressure loss:

Perform a visual inspection on the components carrying coolant.
