Control unit for electronic selector lever module, task - GF27.19-P-5138-02RX
The electronic selector lever module control unit (N15/5) receives analog and digital signals, it then actuates various components and sends corresponding data to various control units over the Controller Area Network bus Class C (engine compartment) (CAN-C).
The selector lever positions and touch shifts carried out are detected in a non-contact manner by means of optoelectronic switches. A photoelectric barrier is closed or interrupted each time the position of the selector lever is changed.
Analog input signals:
- Selector lever position
- Status of transmission mode switch
- Pushbutton +/-
- Circuit 87 (power supply)
Analog output signals:
- R/P locking solenoid
- Circuit 58d (switch and controls illumination)
The following information is received over CAN-C:
- sent from the instrument cluster (A1)
- circuit 58 dimmed
- sent from traction systems control unit (N47)
- Left rear wheel speed
- Right rear wheel speed
- Selected braking torque
- sent from EIS [EZS] control unit (N73)
- Stop lamp switch (S9/1)
- Stop lamp actuation feedback
- Circuit 50
- Circuit 15
- Drive authorization system, stage 3 (DAS [FBS] 3) message
- sent from steering column module (N80)
- Status of left steering wheel gear shifter (S110/2) and right steering wheel gear shifter (S111/2) (up to 31.5.06)
- Status of steering wheel gear shifter MINUS (S110/1) and steering wheel gear shifter PLUS (S111/1) (as of 1.6.06)
The following information is transmitted via CAN-C:
- to the instrument cluster (A1)
- Selector lever position for gear indicator
- to the ETC [EGS] control unit (N15/3)
- Selector lever position
- Status of transmission mode switch (S16/5)
- Pushbutton +/-
- R/P locking solenoid, energized
- to the EIS [EZS] control unit (N73)
- DAS [FBS] 3 message
- Selector lever position for reversing lamp actuation
- to the ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10)
- Selector lever position P/N
