| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Turn key in ignition switch to position "0". | Vehicles with Keyless Go code 889: Press Keyless GO Start and stop button repeatedly until the ignition is switched off. Remove the Keyless Go transmitter card or transmitter key from the vehicle and store beyond the reach of the transmitter (min. 2 m). | |
| 2 | Remove air filter housing | AR09.10-P-1150RX | |
| 3 | Remove hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5) | AR07.07-P-1453RX | |
| 4 | Detach the hose (1) at the centrifuge cover (2) | Do not use pointed or sharp-edged tools to detach the hose (1) to prevent damage to the hose. | |
| 5 | Detach retaining clamp (3) on electric wiring harness from air duct housing (4) | ||
| 6 | Push notch (4a) downwards and swing away air duct housing (4) below from the throttle valve actuator (M16/6) | ||
| 7 | Lift notch (4b) and remove air duct housing (4) from throttle valve actuator (M16/6) | ||
| 8 | Check the notches (4a, 4b) for damage | If the notches (4a, 4b) are damaged, then the entire air duct housing (4) must be replaced. | |
| 9 | Detach the hose (1) at the air duct housing (4) | When replacing the air duct housing (4). Do not use pointed or sharp-edged tools to detach the hose (1) to prevent damage to the hose. Installation: Replace the CLIC clamp (A). No screw clamp or spring bracket clamp should be used since the screw connection can become leaky. |
