Remove/install spring control arm and replacement of rubber mount - AR35.20-P-0114I

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.  
NOTES Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts    
NOTES While working on the rear axle care must be taken to ensure that the surface of all aluminum components do not get any scratches, cracks and notches. Otherwise the service life of the parts will be affected    
1 Raise vehicle with vehicle lift    
2 Remove exhaust system at flange connection See: ↓
Remove complete exhaust system:
 
Engine 112, 113  
Engine 613 AR49.10-P-7000M
Engine 628 AR49.10-P-7000MB
Engine 648 AR49.10-P-7000MZ
3 Detach cover (6g) from spring control arm (6) IMPORTANT To do this, pull pin out of expansion rivet and remove expansion rivet from cover and spring control arm.  
4 Remove spring control arm (6) from rear axle carrier SPECIAL TOOL Screwdriver bit
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT The rear-axle shaft must be horizontal when tightening the nut
 
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Tighten bolts or nuts as per tightening angle. AR35.10-P-0010-08IA
TORQUE SPECIFICATION  
5 Remove spring control arm (6) from wheel carrier TORQUE SPECIFICATION The rear-axle shaft must be horizontal when tightening the nut  
TORQUE SPECIFICATION  
6 Remove suspension strut (6j) from spring control arm (6) TORQUE SPECIFICATION  
INSPECT Checking     
7 Check rubber bushing (6b) of spring control arm (6) in rear axle carrier If necessary after checking: ↓  
Remove and instal spring control arm rubber mount. AR35.20-P-0114-01I
SPECIAL TOOL Extraction and insertion tool  
SPECIAL TOOL Press  
8 Install in the reverse order
