	Remove/install
	Notes on avoiding damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge		AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1.1	Temporarily store basic data of voice control system (VCS [SBS]) control unit (N41/3) in STAR DIAGNOSIS	When replacing the voice control system (VCS [SBS]) control unit (N41/3). Copy temporarily stored basic data to the new voice control system (VCS [SBS]) control unit (N41/3).
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
2	Switch off ignition and withdraw transmitter key or Keyless Go start/stop button from the EIS [EZS] control unit	Keyless Go start/stop button only for vehicles with code (889) Keyless Go.
3	Detach side trunk paneling (1) and swivel to the side until the voice control system (VCS [SBS]) control unit (N41/3) is accessible	Do not bend the hinge arm passage frame (2) otherwise the plastic will become discolored.
		Vehicles without code (Z07) Top protection	AR68.30-P-4600SX
		Vehicles with code (Z07) Top protection	AR68.30-P-4600SXS
4	Detach nuts (5) and bolts (6), remove bracket (4) and place to one side
5	Disconnect electrical connector (7)
6	Bend up fishplate (8) using a suitable tool
7	Remove voice control system (VCS [SBS]) control unit (N41/3) from bracket (4)
8	Install in the reverse order
