Pressure sensor, component description - GF32.22-P-5104SX
MODEL 221 with CODE (489) Airmatic (semi-active air suspension) up to Model Year 8
The AIRmatic pressure sensor is integrated in the level control valve unit.
The AIRmatic pressure sensor is used to monitor the central reservoir pressure. First and foremost the central reservoir pressure is recorded by the sensor in order to increase the central reservoir pressure if necessary.
The location of the pressure sensor allows central reservoir pressure as well as the individual pressures in the suspension struts to be determined depending on the actuation of the valves.
Example: Pressure determination of the left front suspension strut.
The following conditions should be met for the determination:
- Compressor unit off (de-energized)
- Drain valve (in the compressor unit) closed (de-energized)
- Left front level control valve actuated (energized)
