Location
The front body acceleration sensors in each case are located in the area of the suspension strut tower in the engine compartment. The rear body acceleration sensor is located in the area of the right rear suspension strut tower.
Task
The acceleration sensors are used to measure the vertical acceleration of the vehicle body.
This information is required by the ABC control unit (N51/2) for the dynamic stabilization and damping of the vehicle body.
